We received a call from the management staff at Portman Marina that our pontoon boat "was leaning." The next day we arrived at the marina to discover our pontoon was significantly listing to the starboard side. We immediately drove to the Palmetto Boat Center and informed management about the pontoon. Service Manager Amy Boyer contacted us to let us know they had picked up the boat, repaired the leak, and was returning it to our slip at the marina. Where I come from, that is called EXCELLENT service.

He can describe every square inch of our center console boat. In addition to the boat, he patiently explained the electronic screens to us and has promised to continue to help us. Recently brought my boat down for some service items. While I was waiting to get checked in at least 3 different people from the dealership walked by me. Each person said hello, asked how I was doing and whether or not I was being helped. I have now had 2 different occasions since I purchased my boat in October and took delivery in December to interact with the dealership/service department. You folks have it figured out. It always feels like I am the most important customer each time I am there. Christian (who sold me the boat) always makes it a point to speak with me. The young man in Finance (Zack) always says hello..... he must have a heck of a memory!! Amy in the service department is nothing short of Awesome!! Again, she makes you feel like your boat is the most important thing on her list. Also had a chance to interact with a guy I think his name was Ron this last time and he has the same mindset as everyone else. He was very helpful and informative as well.

Repowered a 1996 Champion 190SC going from a 175 HP Mariner 2-stroke to a 2017 115-hp Merc Pro-XS CT 4-stroke (Lake Bowen). The repower included mounting the motor and re-using the old controls. The price quoted was well below several other quotes from local dealers. The installation was awesome. We had some control hiccups re console power and had to turn mounting bolts around on jack plate to raise motor higher. Discovered these on our first trip and Palmetto corrected immediately. I really feel Palmetto did everything they could do to take of us, and I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a new boat or a repower. As of this review, we have about 15 hours on the new motor with the only interruption in our usage being "deer season". The motor is awesome. Hoped to get mid 40's with the underpowered setup. The Merc is pushing 52 mph gps with light load and hits 49 mph gps with normal load (2 people, gear and fish). Could not be happier with dealer or motor; though I would consider new controls if I repeated the process! Thanks Palmetto! And especially thanks Brad, Marty, Chris and Amy!

I recently purchased a Skeeter ZX225 with a Yamaha Sho and it was the best boat buying experience I have ever had in buying a boat. I dealt with Chris and their was no haggling over price. He asked me where I needed to be, I told him and he made it possible. They have been very good at calling me back when I had questions and the friendly staff has been a pleasure to work with. I felt as though they did not just want to sell me a boat but were just as driven as I was to make me happy and put me in the perfect boat for me. Marty, Harry, Amy, the whole team has been wonderful to deal with. My wife and I sold a smaller boat and in April we purchased a 2015 Carolina Skiff DLV218. The entire experience has been extremely positive from sales, parts, to service to the owner. We bought a larger much stabler boat due to our ever growing family. We are utlizing our skiff by tubing, sight seeing, fishing and we're taking her to the salt water in August for the first time and hopefully to some really skinny water to test the 8 inch theory. I want to thank Amy and Marty for staying late on a Friday night so that I could pickup my boat. I got stuck in traffic got there 30 minutes after closing. These guys are great! If you need work done on your outboard engine or in the neighborhood for a new boat, give these guys a chance.

Gil was amazing from start to finish. When I showed up looking for a boat he found me the perfect one. On the day of pickup he went out of his way to make sure everything was as it should be and walked me thru everything about the boat. Zach was also amazing on the finance side and helped me catch an issue on my insurance side the day before so I could get it corrected before pickup.
